Abstract:Sleep deprivation(SD), a very common phenomenon in modern society, has been becoming one of the most significant medical problems because of its detrimental effects on human’s health. This paper reviewed the SD related studies in recent years and gave a brief summary on the research methods of SD and the effects of SD on learning and memory, with a particular focus on the changes of genes and proteins affected by SD in central nervous system.
